Why we built Namebase Pro
We want to make it really easy for anyone to access the Handshake's ecosystem
As other exchanges eventually list HNS, I'm sure a few of our users will consider switching to mining or trading on them but we hope you'll continue to use Namebase Pro. In this post, I want to quickly share the reasons why we built Namebase Pro as a registrar and what drives our product decisions.
Our overall mission has always been to enable freedom and safety on the Internet. We believe Handshake protocol has the ability to fix the current DNS hierarchy. This is what led us to be the first platform that makes Handshake easily accessible to millions of people around the world.
To do this, we are focused on making sure that anyone around the world can easily buy the Handshake tokens ($HNS) and use it to get a Handshake domain and manage it all in one platform.
Being focused on unlocking Handshake is what makes us different from any other exchange or registrar for that matter. For one, we are unique because we are a registrar and an exchange in one platform.
Unlike other exchanges, Namebase Pro is directly integrated with our registrar so if you're using it – you can bid on Handshake TLDs and use them from the same wallet.
We are opening the platform to serve millions of people around the world who are combating internet censorship or ability to have a free voice without being moderated.
Fees
You'll notice that Namebase Pro has some of the lowest trading fees (0 bip maker fee 10 bip take fee) and we will continue to lower the fees over time (i.e. -5 bip maker fee) as well as making Namebase pro more powerful, and introducing new features.
While you may see other exchanges list HNS, we are the only platform committed to unlocking Handshake's potential. We are here to enable an internet that is owned by individuals and not a handful of organizations like ICANN that control the DNS today.
Using Namebase Pro directly supports our efforts to grow the Handshake ecosystem which will ultimately drive more value to your coins.
We hope to keep you here and let us know how we can keep improving.
