The new Namebase is here
Namebase is back, and it is different in the way that matters most: it is non-custodial. Search and register names across thousands of decentralized top-level domains, and hold them yourself. We never take custody of your names or your coins.
What is new
- One search, thousands of TLDs. Type a name and see live availability and pricing across the whole decentralized root.
- You hold your names. Payments go directly to the owner of the TLD you buy under - there is no house wallet in the middle.
- Run your own TLD. List a top-level domain, sell names under it, and settle registry fees monthly in Bitcoin.
Coming from the previous Namebase?
If you held names or HNS on the old custodial Namebase, they are safe. The new namebase.io is a fresh, non-custodial registry, so it does not display your old custodial balances here. Everything from the custodial era now lives at sunset.namebase.io - sign in with the same Namebase account you use here to withdraw your HNS to any wallet or transfer your names on-chain. Do this before the October 1, 2026 deadline, when the custodial sunset service closes.
